White spots on Featherfin Catfish

good afternoon, I have a question regarding my Featherfin catfish. He recently developed white splotches on his face and I was wondering if anyone know what it could be. He is in a 110 gallon tank with only a few tank mates, two large red jewel cichlids and three other small cichlids as well as a large Pleco. The water condition seems to be okay. There is an attached picture of what he looks like

This is lateral line erosion, search the forum (plenty) info.

Hi Stringman,

Welcome to PlanetCatfish.

Your photos show what is called Lateral Line Erosion. There are several threads in this forum describing other peoples' efforts to resolve the problem. A recent thread on this subject is here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=41524.

I know there's a lot to read there, but it's a good place to start.
