L397 batch of eggs
Hi hope everyone is well.
I got a batch of eggs and half turned white in my ziss tumbler.
I raised the temperature from 80 to 83 could that be it.
Last few spawns I had a 99% hatch rate.

Re: L397 batch of eggs
Temperature shouldn't have hurt them, but in future leave the temperature the same and see how they do.
Good luck!

Thanks buddy It happened a few more times.
I was thinking maybe I take the eggs to soon and the male needs time to fertilize completely

Hi Eric
on feeding the babies I been keeping wood and moss and almond leaves in there because I heard they eat before the yolk is dissolved?
I add bacter a also.
Any advice you once mentioned you don't feed every night do you feed every other night?

Re: L397 batch of eggs
Hi! I've heard plenty of people say don't feed until the yolk is gone, but I start adding food when about half the yolk remains. Leaves, algae flakes and freeze dried tubifex. I don't feed my adults daily, but I feed young fry once or twice a day.
Good luck!

Re: L397 batch of eggs
I was wondering can I add newly hatched fry to the same container as fry that are 2 weeks old.
So far so good just wonder if the 2 week fry would try and eat the yolk sac from the babies.

Re: L397 batch of eggs
I would be hesitant to add eggs, but I would add hatchlings.
Cheers, Eric
