Corydoras trilineatus or julii?

Post by emanuel »

Sold as julii, but to me they look like trilineatus?
Can anyone help me? I am not experienced enough to be sure of correct identification.

Hello emanuel,

These are almost certainly . are characterized by having spots whereas C. trilineatus has lines. There are some populations of each species that can resemble the other, but from what I've read they are very uncommon. Your fish have obvious lines, so I would interpret that as C. trilineatus.

Cheers, Eric
