Re: Identification of seven Corydoras
Here are the last 4 that were sold to me as C. venezuelanus. What do you think ? They measure 4 cm for the smallest and 5 cm for the largest. I'm thinking 3 males and 1 female.

If they are fat and round they are most likely a female. Skinnier ones are males. First 2 look like females to me.

IDs look good. All these fish I've collected in the wild. I'd consider for no3 but not sure from photo. The last ones are interesting - they remind me a lot of . How that fish could get to you in France is a complete mystery.

Re: Identification of seven Corydoras
Thanks.
I can take pictures of n°3 if it can help. For the last 4, they had just arrived so were stressed. I also take photos.
We have big problems in France with the Corydoras. Many are imported under the wrong names (hence my many requests for identification). I just found an importer that seems to have the right names but I needed to identify the others before I could expand the groups.

Re: Identification of seven Corydoras
Here are other pictures of Corydoras n°3. The size doesn't seem to match C. delphax but the pattern seems to be the same.
And here are some new pictures of C. venezuelanus. I looked for C. sp llanos but on the two photos that there are, I don't see the yellow spot at the bottom on the back whereas we see it on the photos of C. venezuelanus. But maybe that's not a feature.

Re: Identification of seven Corydoras
I'd stick with the C. ambiacus ID - spots are just too big and a little irregular for C. delphax. is an option for the Bronze Cory. Maybe let it settle in the tank and take a few more pics?

Re: Identification of seven Corydoras
Hello, they have moved into their final tank. Their color stands out better, hoping that this is sufficient for identification.

The fact that several corydoras move together (so as to form a group) is it a sign that they are of the same species or should we still be wary?
Moderator edit: I fixed the YouTube link.

Re: Identification of seven Corydoras
Hello, they have just reproduced and I counted about 150 eggs for a female of about 5 cm. I thought that might help with identification.

Re: Identification of seven Corydoras
I have aeneus and they don't have the yellow spot on the back or such a marked orange spot on the head.
Maybe a selection ?
