CORYDORUS GUAPORE

Post by MERLIN2 »

Ian

Do you have any experience of these. I acquired a lonely one from my lfs but unfortunately it died shortly afterwards. They are interesting looking fish and I would like to acquire several of these and have a go at breeding them. I have not come across them in shops before and assume they are quite hard to get hold of.

You are right in that they're not very common at all. I have one at the moment and am also kooking for more. They do like planted aquaria and will spend a lot of time up in the plants and not on the bottom like most Cory's I have a friend in Scotland that has bred them in the past. Where are you located? If you are in the UK I can let you know when there are some available.

Have you tried Wholesale tropicals at Bethnal Green, their lists always look impresive.

Hi there, I have been keeping cats for over 18years,and can remember buying my first 3 Guapore, 15years ago for £45 (trade). We currently only have one in stock, priced @ £9 which was brought in with a group of 20, some 6months ago. If we obtain any more I will let you know. Have you considered the equally rare but easier to obtain C Caudimaculatus as an alternative.
