Came across this guy while at a an exporters. It was brought in by one of the guys from a stream near Bogota. Pretty cool as it was actually the first time I saw a live member of this family. Local name is "cucha de cuero" or leather pleco. A reference to the fact that they are classified locally as unarmored loricariids. This guy is about 5 inches SL. Sorry the photo is so bad. I did not have a photo tank or good camera.

Since I only have 7 days in Bogota, it just did not seem like a good idea (do not think it did not cross my mind!). I was told by a guy who had collected them near Bogota that they start dropping off above about 60F. Thanks for moving this HH.
