Possible Bumblebees and ?

Post by Houndog »

I went into my lfs and found a couple of fish about 4 to 4.5" long which had been dropped off by customers who no longer wanted them. The third pic is a fish sold as a 'Bumblebee Cat', it's less than 2" long.

Thanks for any help.

i'm nowhere near an identification expert but as guesses i would say the first is Megalechis thoracata and the second looks like it might be Pseudomystus siamensis. at first glance i thought the 3rd to be a Bagrichthys sp. but it doesn't look to have a deep enough "shoulder" area.

silurus, wouldn't the first one be m. thoracata because of the dark vertical bar on the caudal fin?
