How large should a cultivation/breeding group be?

I want to begin breeding dwarf plecostomus VERY soon. How large of a group should I keep them in and what would be the best male to female ratio for the group to ensure successful breeding?

***Note - I will be using my 33L gallon.

Can you narrow it down a bit more for us please? There are literally more than a hundreds species of Loris that stay under 4" and could be considered dwarf. They'll have different needs, and do well in a variety of conditions. If you haven't worked with any before, might I suggest you start with a type of ancistrus, preferably one of the more commonly available ones. Not just because they are easier to come by, but they are usually less sensitive to the exact water parameters and a bit more forgiving. I keep my ancistrus in groups of 1 male per 2 females. If I add 2 more females, I also add a second male. Usually just because I have it available. There can be aggression issues, but I would doubt you'll see any in a 4 foot tank, personally.

My focus was on L-046, L-239, and L-183...depending on availability.

If you can't sex them or need to place an order without being able to specify the sex, then these ratio's may help you.
