He's Beat up and I have no clue what he is....

Post by GirlinWayside »

This fish was sold to me as a common syno cat - I had my two year old with me and couldnt really pay attention to what I was getting and obviously they took advatange of that big time! I got the little cat home and couldnt figure out why he looked so funny. I have since come to the conclusiion that he has been beat up pretty badly - his face is scraped up and he has a scrape down each side that runs all the way to his tail. it also looks like he is missing his top fin! there is nothing there, just a hump!!!! He's still swimming real good and plays and looks happy - this is the best pic of him I can get as Ive been trying all morning. If its not good enough, I can scoop him out and put him in a glass or something. Can anyone tell what kind he is??

unfortunately, yes, he was. Like I said, I didnt notice it at the store due to everything that was going on..my kid was nutting up over all the tanks and animals.... I noticed it when I got home. The LFS is about 30 miles away so Im not even going to worry about taking him back - Im not going back to that LFS again - they have screwed me over more than once in the past two weeks. Ill just try to take care of him and find someplace else to shop from now on.
