Hello. Got this little Pl*co at my local LFS , he was marked as a â??Sail fin gibbiâ?

Jason is right. It's L001 (or L22), <i>Glyptoperichthys joselimaianus</i>.

They're easy to separate if you know HOW to look :wink:

The Gibby is a reddish pleco with brown spots (or a brown pleco with a reddish 'net' superimposed)
The Joselimaianus is a brown pleco with reddish spots (or a reddish pleco with a brown 'net' superimposed)
Plan B should not automatically be twice as much explosives as Plan A

I didnt think to look at the Glyptoperichthys joselimaianus. :roll:
Heâ??s looking darker now I put the light colour down to stress ,he had only arrived in the LFS that day.(thought they Quarantined them ,never mind).

Finally I found him hiding behind the filter at the back of the tank.
Getting the camera and my head around there was a bit difficult to say the least, picture is a bit out of focus but shows a healthier colour .

I've been loking for one but without success. I havent been able to find a place that sell them. Nice fish though man.

I live in the USA in Southern California. People in LA say that they have seen some but Its to long of a drive over there.
