I have been trying to find info on this fish for 3 days thank you. The one i am looking at is about 6" long, Do you know how fast they grow and is a 180 gal big enough? They are asking 75$ canadian is this reasonable?

60 * 1.3 = 78 - so $75 CAD isn't entirely unreasonable. Prices are always variable depending on the place you live in, so you can't just say "Oh, this fish costs half in <some>" to your supplier and expect them to say "Oh, ok, you can have it for half the price", since the local supplier will have to pay the local wholesaler - probably around 30-50% of the price you're paying... [And yes, that's the normal markup on fish, somewhat more for the less expensive and a bit less for the more expensive - but it probably varies a little bit between countries as well].Marc van Arc wrote:It grows reasonably quickly. I can't say anything about the price, because I don't know what the Canadian dollar is worth. Overhere they do 45 euros, which is about 55-60 US dollars.
