When to breed?

Post by Travis »

Hi, i recently added 3 albino aeneus cories to my 10 gallon tank (other fish are already in it) on Tuesday, and so they've been in there for almost 7 days. I'm just curious, how long would I need to wait before they could breed?

Its not something that you can say precisely, all you can do is give them all the right conditions and observe their behavior. You will see when a female is ready, she will be plumper and the males will start to become very attentive.

Thanks for the reply, do you happen to have any pictures of albino aeneus cories, or even bronze cories. I'm having a really tough time telling them apart (i'm worried that all 3 in there are female). I've looked on the other posts on this site about the subject, and it helped quite a bit, but I think that some real pictures of females and males would help the most. Sorry for the trouble.
