These a,b,c and d letters after numbers are Aquarium glasers bookfirm Aqualog`s own labels.Aquarium glaser, Das Aquarium magazine and it`s one close catfish specialist Erwin Schraml has created Lda-number system. Very confusing sometimes. There should be only one system to indetify these plecos.

Polkadot,
L 27A was "invented" by Aqualog and was never an "official" L Number issued by DATZ. Expect many of the fishes in Aqualog which received these "invented" L Numbers to receive new L Numbers from DATZ. Be careful using Aqualog for IDing L Numbers as many (I have heard maybe half) of the fish pictured in Aqualog are incorrect and do not match the real L Number assigned by DATZ. Planetcatfish is your best resource for determining L Numbers.
