Cephalosilurus apurensis - final size
In Cat-eLog you say size = 300 mm. Is this the final size for the male? In other Forums some are keeping one with 600, 630 mm.

The Cat-eLog is often a little bit on tne short side for sizes. The reason being that the size is based on scientific records, and that in turn is based on preserved fish. Collectors often keep only smaller specimens, since big ones take up too much space. This makes the Cat-eLog come up with shorter numbers than the "actual maximum".
Also, the measure in Cat-eLog is "Standard length", so does not include the tail-fin, only the "meaty" bit of the tail. For fish with long fins, this makes quite a difference, compared to "Total length".
I don't know anything about this partiuclar fish, so I can't say if the Cat-eLog is correct or if the size is much larger.
