Corydoras sp. CW 009

Post by fishinpenn »

Hey All,

I'm very interested in acquiring a few of these beauties. I've been looking everywhere and can't seem to find them. If you have some available or can point me in the direction of someone who does I'd be very grateful.

Thanks in advance!!

Trying to find specimens of C009 in any quantity is a bit like looking for a needle in a hay stack. They turn up occasionally as contaminant with other species such as C. ambiacus or C. agassizii which in turn are usually exported as "Punctatus". All you can really do is keep a watchful eye out when scouring fish stores.

Ian, it was CW-9 and not the C-9 ;)

Green lasers are not common anywhere I think. I have a breeding group put together of fish from 3 different sources to get enough for a group. They seem to pop up in small numbers once in a while.
Best regards,

Woops!

It was early this morning when I answered that post. Sorry.

There are a couple of guys in the US that are successfully breeding CW009, I will ask the question and see if they have any available.

Also they are being imported but as Kim says not very regularly.

Thank you both for your help! I'll keep checking back and keep an eye out in the LFS.
