Black Ghosts seem to be bred commercially in SE Asia and here is a report with photos of eggs and fry from an aquarium spawn but no other information was provided about sex differences and breeding methods.

Here is another account and it refers to the females' having a red 'flashing" about the tail. This account is a breeding set up in Ecuador using diverted river water and not a typical aquarium.
