Are these Multipunctatus?

Post by lightningfront »

I purchased these two cats around 2 years ago for $60 a piece at a LFS. At the time I could not find the Multipunctatus anywhere so I forked up the rather hefty price. I just recently found a local breeder who is selling them for $10 a piece and figured since I just upgraded from a 55 to a 125 aquarium I could use some more clean up crew. I bought 5 more cats from the breeder and they don't look the same as the old ones. I gues it could be because they are still small. The pics are of the old 2 I have and I don't have any still shots of the new guys but I did manage to catch one on video. None of them like to caome out of riding in the rocks, even at feeding time, except this one.

Well crap I can't link to the video right now because my work firewall has all video sites blocked and I don't know the link. Until I get home do these two look like Multipunctatus?

They are S. multipunctatus, yes. They have that classic deer in the headlights expression ;).
