Albino common Pleco eating wood?
I just got a albino pleco, hes about 3 inches. Ive set him up with his own tank (20 gallon long) with an Ehiem pro 2 filter made for 92 gallon aqauriums. He just chills inside my huge driftwood caves and I think hes eating the wood cause his crap is the same color. Hes never on the glass or any where else, And he never goes for algea or spirulina disks so he must be eating in there right? Do commons do that? And I knew these guys crap alot but god damn...

Re: Albino common pl*co eating wood?
It probably finds a bit of rotting wood, algae and other "goodness" on the wood.

If you just got it it will be shy for awhile.I just got a albino pl*co, hes about 3 inches. Ive set him up with his own tank (20 gallon long) with an Ehiem pro 2 filter made for 92 gallon aqauriums. Sounds like you have it housed in a nice space, keep offering a variety of different things a little at a time and eventually it will figure out the food source, it will get tired of the wood and soon you will be looking for that next larger tank when it puts on a growth spurt.
