hi there,
i am using temperature controllers in a few of my catfish tanks to adjust the temp. when doing rainseason simulations i can set a temp. and my heater is heating until the temp. is right ...
no i am searching for a unit to do that with about 10 or more heaters ...does any of you use something like that???
cheers

hi, dont know if youve figured something out yet but heres an idea, can you get a thermostat and set it to the temp range you want and then make that run a power bar with the 10 heaters on it? is that what youre going for or is it something completely different.

Re: Temperature controller ???
I'm sure that switching 10 heaters at once can be achieved. However, I'm not sure switching all heaters on and off at the same time is the best idea.
If they are all in different tanks, then presumably you want to keep each tank at the correct temperature, not just the one you've got the sensor in at the right temperature...
It would of course be possible to have a sensor and electronic switch (e.g. a bimetal and relay construction, or something fancier). Searching the web, I found a few companies that make these things, but I suspect most of them are for "large range variation" (e.g. heating element in hot-water tank, fan on car radiator, etc) rather than fine-grade (+/- 1'C or 1'F). Sure, you can find those things for chemical labs and such, but then we're talking significant cost.
