Tropical Waters aquatics in birmingham 0121 707 6433 had about 5 (small) & might do a deal if more than one was purchased.

Amwell had some large adults when i was last there(the one at Happy Grow Garden centre) - these were very expensive but full grown.

They weren't labelled - i only asked what the * mark on the tank meant - each tank with an * had a zeb in. There are often ones advertised on Aquarists Classified which are about the best money going unless you have a current breeder as a contact.

these are now sold http://www.aquarist-classifieds.co.uk/p ... 121931.php but they show quite often.

A more expensive example http://www.aquarist-classifieds.co.uk/p ... 121789.php.

if you are looking to set up a breeding group, you would be best to get individuals of opposite sexes from different sources.

well breeding would be an idea, but to be honest at the momment would love just to get one for the moment, im currently setting up a new tank maybe for breeding purposes or just a plec tank. im in two minds at the mo, if i did go for breeding wasnt entirely sure what plecs was best for breeding. obviousley plecs i could get hold of more easily in the uk. cheers for the help mate.

There are a good few choices of not-too-difficult plecs, that are available & breedable & less expensive - it depends on your budget & experience. If you wanted to have a go at breeding, loads of info can be found in the site but if you wanted to start off with having a Zebra, it's a different matter & depends on finance & availability.

Keep us posted

i wouldnt mind just to have a zebra, and to be fair on aquarist-classified it was £45 each which isnt to bad i think, im just going to keep an eye out i think.

with the breeding i have no experience what so ever but would love to start, and i suppose would need a lot of thinking about, espcially with what ones to get, budget shouldnt be to much of a problem, but you never know whats round the corner, thanks for the advice richard it does help :D
