These are great aquarium fish in planted tanks and among one of my favorites.
I find them occasionally in shipments of Parotociclus jumbo but they seem to do much better in warmer water than P. jumbo. I am down to my last 2 out 5 that have lived in a planted wild Discus tank nearly 4 years. The last 2 have grown to be pretty large compared to a common Otocinclus species. My last 2 are large, old females which grew larger than the males. The largest is close to 2-1/2 inches TL.
I always have difficulty telling them apart from Parotocinclus spilosoma. It is possible I have those instead but they appear to be the same fish shown in your good photos.
