Quick find - suggestion for improvement.
If I want to find a specific species, e.g. "Panaque nigrolineatus", I can't actually type in "Panaque nig"... I think that should work... [Along with "P nigro" and various other variants].

Re: Quick find - suggestion for improvement.
Same for typing something like Farlowella, I only get Red Royal Farlowella. I would be nice to have all the cats with 'Farlowella' in their name (common name or not) show up. Obviously same deal with all the other types too. Great feature though, very handy already.
Odd note: If I type in a cat name and by mistake automatically hit my return key like with other searches, this page always comes up :

Racing, shoes and fish. Nothing else matters. Oh, and bacon.

To do that I might need an index, something I was trying to avoid. Would you like to have a look at the "engine"? It's quite simple at its core...

Do you expect the animated gif at the end of the quick find input to be displaying when you are not entering anything, because it is.
It only goes away as soon as you start to enter data - is this not the opposite of how it should be?

It should only display when typing, yes but, for me, that is how it appears to be working.Martin S wrote:Jools

I think this is fixed, and if it's not, it should be soon!

Re: Quick find - suggestion for improvement.
The original idea here has been implemented for a while now.
So I think this can be moved to "Resolved".
