Platydoras armulatus audio - captured!

Post by knifegill »

Recorded these sounds late at night, shot a video of the tank while playing them back. The resident raphs were quite taken aback, to say the least, to hear their own rumbles played back at 11:00 a.m.

You know what? That's a perfect embed. And the third time I've tried to post something useful on this forum. I am truly dedicated to contributing to the hobbyist's database of knowledge and experiences, but how am I supposed to do that when the "best" catfish forum I know of can't display pictures or videos?

An opportunity to routinely impose a statement... I'll pass. ;)

When linking to Youtube, use the "youtube" button at the top of the edit bar, along with the youtube ID. In your case -FrJSc2gSBM

The "embed" from Youtube is for when you want to embed it in your own web-page. This site (nor any other that I'm aware of) do not allow direct HTML in posts - just like you can't use something or something to get italic or bold text.

And as I explained in the post where you tried to post pictures, you may need to reduce the size of the image to allow it to be posted - that makes sense anyways, since there is no benefit whatsoever for having pictures that are more than about 1000-1200 pixels wide - most people don't have larger screens than 1280 or 1440 wide, so the picture will just be too big.

If you really think there is something about your images that make them impossible to post (and I've seen at least a dozen images be posted since you complained that yours couldn't be uploaded), please send me an e-mail with the image in question, and I'll see if there's something not right about it.
Edit: My e-mail address is mats at planetcatfish dot com

@Marc: I was preparing this reply before you posted your reply - I just didn't want to post it IN Knifegill's post.
