Etymology of species name in Ernstichthys intonsus

Post by lfinley58 »

Hi all.

For the Cat-eLog: The following is from the original description of Ernstichthys intonsus [Aspredinidae]:

"Etymology - From the Latin intonsus, unshaved or bearded, in reference to the extreme proliferation of barbels."
