L number Plecs

Post by Essex-Andy »

Hello,

I admit a bit advanced notice but at the end of september I'd like to get some L number plecs.

I'm after fish that are mainly veg/algae eaters and no larger than 6" when fully grown.

I've done some research and the following seem to match my 'wants'

L017, L208, L270, L271, L328, Dwarf Lake Syno and Hypancistrus Contradens

Could anyone shed some light on prices and are these fish likely to be stocked or special order?

Thanks for all your help and time,

Andy.

PS Any recommended tropical shops in the Thurrock/Basildon/Southend areas of Essex?

A lot will depend on whether you are after wild caught or tank bred fish and what size they are.

L270 & H.Contradens are about fairly often and tank bred hobbyishs fish can be £15 each.

If you mean Syno lucipinnis (dwarf lake syno) then tank bred fish from hobbyists can be less than £10 each

Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!
