Number sequence acting up
When I moved an image from to the image moved as image 11 when it should have moved as image 10. (I remembered to late the archive feature) I was going to replace it with an image after the move.
I tried to fix but no go...now we have two image 11's in , can you please archive the one without a caption.

Re: Number sequence acting up
Hi Birger,
This bug might be something to do with moving an image from a species to another species after (and this could be any point in the past) an image has been archived from that same species. I will have a word with Mats about it too as he introduced the image archive code.
Meantime, I will patch it up.
Cheers,
Jools

Hi Birger,
A thought. Do you do this with one browser window open or do you have more than one admin browser window running?

Re: Number sequence acting up
Good point, at home I use my laptop with a monitor in tandem and often have multiple windows open to Planet whether admin or data pages etc.
Is it possible that is "confusing" the actions?

Re: Number sequence acting up
I have given Jools some changes that fixes an issue when one or more image(s) have been archived in the destination species.

Re: Number sequence acting up
It shouldn't, as long as you don't have the same species open in multiple places and switch back and forth between them doing things (in particular, adding new images figures out the current number of images when it loads up, and uses this when you submit. So if you are also moving images into/out of that same species in another tab/window, it may well end up wrong - if in doubt, reload (F5) the page before you upload a new image).Birger wrote:Good point, at home I use my laptop with a monitor in tandem and often have multiple windows open to Planet whether admin or data pages etc.

Maybe that should be looked at...

Re: Number sequence acting up
Maybe, but it's a pretty low "benefit yield". I'm happy to take the pragmatic view that it can be very easily avoided by admins. On the other hand, it might be a simple fix.

Re: Number sequence acting up
I think this can be moved to "Resolved Bugs".
