Liosomadoras morrowi

Post by Chrysichthys »

I just found out (after 3 years) that the mystery Driftwood I adopted is Liosomadoras morrowi. Does anyone have experience with this fish? Or know how much they usually cost?

I've seen 'em around the £10-12 mark, but also up to £18.

I paid an 'adoption' fee of £2.50. Its original owner apparently didn't know what it was either. Its parlour trick is swallowing algae wafers whole.

lucky you!
they turn up now and then, but usually at 50â?¬ or so (wich is about 36 pounds if I'm not mistaken...)

good choice, I find them very beautiful, with only two drawbacks:
-very, very nocturnal
-fragile! prone to gillworms, gutworms, bacteria etc
Plan B should not automatically be twice as much explosives as Plan A

For a long time I almost never saw it; but I was able to infer its presence by the disappearance of two corys. Now it comes out once in a while to feed in dim light.

Not too sure about that. The two I have are as tough as nails. I find that judicious starvings properly applied will induce them to come out to feed.
