Ancistrus cyrrhosus and it's morphs

Post by Carolus »

I was wondering about the genetics of colour mophs found in BN's. I know of these morphs: albino, red, calico & piebald (look very similar to me, if anyone can explain the difference please do), amelanistic (l144) and veiltail . I'm going to assume most of these are recessive but if anybody could tell me with certainty I would be delighted.

Thanks in advance

Hi all,
There are quite a few threads on the different albino/xanthic/leucistic types.
Have a look at <http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... ive+albino>.

The red ones are very probably not a morph of A. cyrrhosus. They stay smaller.

Edit: Ok,looks like they are A. Cyrrhosus, sorry :D
