I've already read it, but they tend to eat smaller fishes and they lives in fast flowing or still waters?

If I read they burrow themselves towards holes near a swamp, I would say they son't need much current

With regard to what they eat, look at the size of their mouth. Everything what could fit in would potentially be at risk. However, the head is not very large, so assuming a few Ch apus of 20 cm, I'd only be carefull with fish under 2 cm.
