Just got my local township's Waterworks Consumer Confidence Report Data for this year; it lists Disinfection Byproducts, Inorganic Contaminants, and Radioactive Contaminants along w/ their MCL, MCLG, Level, Range, etc. Our water's based from two groundwater sources: Site 2 at 401 ft. and Site 3 at 440 ft. I'm mainly concerned/curious about the inorganic contaminant levels (esp. Sodium).
Disinfection Byproducts
HAA5- 23 ppb
TTHM- 13.2 ppb
Inorganic Contaminants
Barium- .026 ppm
Fluoride- 1.0 ppm
Nitrate- .60 ppm
Selenium- 1.0 ppb
Sodium- 26.9 ppm
Copper- .1490 ppm
Lead- 0.00 ppb
Radioactive Contaminants
Gross Alpha, Excluding R & U- 10.0 pCi/l
Gross Alpha, Including R & U- 18.2 pCi/l
Radium (226 + 228)- 2.0 pCi/l
Combined Uranium- 8.9 ug/l
My question is, since these are all apparently safe levels for human consumption in tap water by EPA standards, would these levels be of any ill affect to my fish over time? I keep mostly Corydoras sp., Bunocephalus sp., Ancistrus cirrhosus cf. cirrhosus, Pterophyllum scalare, and Xiphophorus sp. Mine is a 45 U.S. gallon freshwater that is heavily planted. I perform weekly/ bi-weekly water changes with our tap water treated w/ Seachem Prime.
