what is this species??

Post by StiffMeister »

i know this is a difficult question as i do not have a picture of the fish. Ive been to a shop yesterday and they had a very very beautiful Loricariidae species. It was only 1 fish and probably returned from a owner. It was about 12 cm long. Had a very very big head which was much larger when compared to an equal sized gibby. The color of the whole beast was light brown-yellow. It had anly a few colored spots on its body. The guys in the shop told me it could get twice as big and did mention a name, but after 3 times asking i still couldnt understand his mumbling voice. He said it was 65 Euro. quite something in my opinion. but as it was very beautiful i might even wanna buy it. Any of u guys have an idea what kind of species this could be??

That's a somewhat skimpy description to go by. Look in the Cat-eLog to see what matches. You might want to look more closely at Hypostomus (just throwing a bone here).
