Unidentified Loricariinae of Argentina

Post by Yann »

Hi!

Well In the same groupe of Loricaria similima tha Charly Eon received, was also this Loricariinae!
Personnally I think it a Spatuloricaria evansii because of the lip form and shape and also because obviously this one is a male and you can just see some odontales grow on the cheeks
Here are several pitcutre, top and ventra view

Hi Yann,

imo no Spatuloricaria (form of lips does not match and Odontodes look more like Rineloricaria than like Spatuloricaria), looks to me like one of these southern Rineloricaria species (R. latirostris group). How big is it ?

Greetings... Achim

Some news
This species made eggs last week. Two pairs spawned within two days
They laid them inside one brick. The male sits on and fans them

Hi Charly!
That is a great news!
Can you talk about the eggs, estimated size, number and colour. That could help to Id the species!
Cheers
