Question about Perrunichthys perruno
Hey guys. Recently I am being offered some leopard catfish. Not sure which one it is however. Reading old MFK threads I’m seeing that P. perruno had 7-10 fin rays while Leiarius species have 11-14. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Question about Perrunichthys perruno
Quick note: I sent a cropped pic of the dorsal instead of the full fish, as that’s the only telltale sign that it’s perruno. It was caught in the Orinoco basin (supplier’s info)

Re: Question about Perrunichthys perruno
I can't see clearly enough to count them, but I think I see more than 10 rays.
