What is the different of Pseudopimelodus apurensis & fow

What is the different of Pseudopimelodus apurensis & fow

The only way to reliably tell these two apart is to look at the gill rakers: Cephalosilurus apurensis has more gill rakers than C. fowleri. The gill rakers in C. apurensis are also shorter.

Whats a "gill rakers" ? any diagram or pic will be helpful.

Gill rakers are bony or cartilaginous projections which point forward and inward from the gill arches.

if i understand you correctly..... that's mean you need to ply open the gill of the cat inoder to see the gill rakers ? :shock:
