Re: Lets talk heaters
Hi
I have used Ebo Jager, now Eheim Jager heaters for years and been very happy with them...
Tried Visitherms and others and not been so happy with them.
Would like to try and titanium heaters, I hear they are very good...
Looking forward to other opinions... experiences.
Thanks

You can absolutely take your fish with you... I have moved a couple of times in the last 10 years and taken all my fish with me. I have tried both techniques, each fish in a bag and also putting fish in large containers and they both worked fine. I found that filling large poly boxes with tank water...

This is a really important subject for fisheries biology. This is the time that it takes for the population to double in size and affects fishing quotas in the oceans greatly. Flounder for example produce vast numbers of eggs and therefore can be fished quite heavily, and so can Cod and haddock. Sha...

Hi A little advise on these guys. I have been keeping a group of 4 of them for about 1 year at the moment, be sure that you feed plenty of meaty foods, these fish eat very little veggies. Mine love bloodworms, blackworms, small sinking pellets... If you want any more info let me know, they are great...

Hi What every ph you have, I would suggest the drip method of introduction for any fish. I learnt this a fdew years ago from the stringray guys and it is great. What you need to do is open the box and bag when the fish arrives and then get a piece of airline tube. Tie a small knot in the airline and...

Hi I am a member of the New Hampshire Aquarium soc. and you could try someone from the list at http://www.nhaquariumsociety.com/ or contact me. Catfish can eat uneaten food that falls to the bottom, and some of them can eat the algae on the sides of a fish tank, but they should be fed there own food...

They have not got any worse in the last few days, I have been changing lots of water and hope they will grow back shortly. They are certainly eating very ...

Planiloricaria whiskers are eroding
Hi I have 2 Planiloricaria that I have had for about 2 years that are great. I just got 3 more which are in a quarantine tank, they seem to be ok, and have just started eating, but the very end of thier whiskers have started to erode away. They are in with a couple of Pseudohemiodon which are fine. ...

Hi i had a few like this a few years ago, they were called A. magoi by quite a few people, but they could also be A. brevifilis.. Either way they are great fish.. Hi There is another method of adding fish that I have been using recently which I know the stingray guys use. That is the drip method. the idea is that you open the bag with the fish in it and then get an airline tube and start a siphon down the tube. The tube should also have a knot in it so that i...
