the syno needs his own place to call his, a piece of pvc pipe, big enough so he doesn't get stuck or a driftwood tangle to hide under. Sounds like you have 3 poss caves in the 44 and you have 6 total fish,

angel, pl*co, needlenose, leaf fish, and a blue silver fish , plus the syno 6 . so 6 fish ...

My first thought was to ask what you have for caves in that tank, or some kind of structure...it sounds like it may be trying to possess the only structure in the tank, you may have to add more....or if it has just been recently transferred it may settle down after gaining its place in the ...

your fish is Synodontis eupterus .
It is in far too small tank. 44 gal will be ok however every catfish with word "shark" in name grows too big for 44 gal so you should get rid of it.
