Re: Id help please *update Jan 1
The fish in question is almost certainly Hypancistrus contradens . I will see if I can get some photos of my youngsters. For me how the spots are arranged are a dead giveaway. L201 has smaller spots with no apparent pattern, while contradens usually have large spots that look organized in a pattern ...

There are a few species that could come in when you order the C. adolfoi, but 8 bucks is a pretty good price regardless.

Re: Identification help.....L134?
I see no reason to believe that any of the fish pictured are from the Rio Jamanxim. There is not enough spacing between the patterns How do you mean? To me, fish four looks very similar to Rio Jamanxim fish pictured at http://l-welse.ig-bssw.org/thread-81.html . So they all end up like this when th...

Re: Identification help.....L134?
I have raised about 150-200 P. compta. 4 of the 5 photos are just that, I see no reason to believe that any of the fish pictured are from the Rio Jamanxim. There is not enough spacing between the patterns-all of my breeders look that way. It is just the pattern that they get with age. As far as the ...

Re: My First F1 Peckoltia compta spawn
Congrats Larry! How old are your F1 fish? I have some of my own growouts and I am wondering how long it will be before they might spawn. They seem to grow much quicker than my Hypancistrus fry. At just one year old they are almost the same size as the adults...
