Sorry, i didn't use U2 filter before but it's specifications shows that enough up to 30 gallons!And yours if i calculate right 24 gallons.seems ok. You may use some nitrification bacteria starter culture to help your filter until it holds enough for biological filtering.

Sure the water chemistry cause these damages but i'm still breeding pandas, sterbais,trilineatus and a few more. If i'm wrong in something on water these species must have same problems too! Thanx for your reply but i have to find eugenol or something else's solving way!
