Esa fue mi primera opción. Fisicamente se parecen mucho... no encontraba otro que se parezca a mi nuevo pez gato, aunque el registro fotografico de loricaridos es bastante pobre y faltan imágenes de muchas especies...

Este es un nuevo pez gato que compré, estaba entre muchas hemiloricarias y rineloricarias, si recuerdan había pedido ayuda en la identificación de una rineloricaria que resultó ser Rineloricaria sp Paraná y pensé a primera vista que esta era una hembra de esa especie. Luego de observarla ...

Para mi es una rineloricaria pero no sabría decir la especie exacta. fue capturada probablemente en el río Paraná.

Looks like H. margaritifier - and there aren't that many other large ones that have those colours and that sort of dorsal fin.
