Someone else suggested a tadpole madtorn ... what do you think??? I think it looks a lot like the fish they are suggesting.

I also did some research on the species you listed. I don't know if this is the one your talking about though, if you look at the pictures of the one you mentioned, the tail fin is not as pointed, it's more square. The fins on the bottom are also more distinguished on the one you mentioned ...

I found this little guy in a local lake inside of a muscle shell. I brought him home and put him in my tank. SInce then he has grown up a bit and peaked my curiousity. Can anyone help me out in finding out what kind of fish this is???
