Three inches at most.
One other option I'm considering is adding an airstone to the egg catcher box.

Eric are you having trouble feeding I think you said you were concerned about the microworms going thru the mesh bottom. Jeanne Hi Jeanne, Yes they do slip through the screen. I still feed live microworms but I drop them on top of the leaves in the ring, hoping to delay the loss of worms, and I als...

Looking more into Rineloricaria heteroptera (or maybe a R. cf. heteroptera look-alike), I found these photos on the Aquarium Glaser website . Keep in mind a few things: Your fish doesn't look exactly like the Aquarium Glaser photos. Aquarium Glaser doesn't always have its ID right either. If your fi...

"Poor hatch rate" is an understatement... It's zero for the Microglanis.sturiosoma wrote: ↑01 Jun 2023, 15:46 I think that the poor hatch rate is due to poor fertilization, in nature egg scatters spawn in very shallow water to concentrate the fertilization process.

Here are the registered collections of Corydoras(ln9) brevirostris at GBIF.org and specieslink.net. Clearly, the GBIF data includes some far-flung entries. I suspect some of these are misidentified.

Light sensitivity is a well known issue with tetra eggs and newly hatched fry. We don't talk about light sensitivity much with catfis...

A similar fish that can have spotting on its head (although not so well defined) is Rineloricaria heteroptera . For example, take a look at this photo: https://www.planetcatfish.com/common/image.php?species=rineloricaria_heteroptera&image_id=22299 The distribution would not be right if your fish...
