Re: Old Eheim Thermofilters...
Just to update... My solution to this is to replace the body section of the filters, either with new Thermofilter units or straight filter units, probably the latter as in my case I have spare heaters.

Corydoras leopardus breeding advice...
Does anyone have any advice on breeding leopardus?
I have a group of eight presently housed with a group of six Loricaria 'Rio Atapabo'.
There is an old thread here from 2013 on breeding C131 which mentions clay to raise pH and I assume TDS, montmorillionite I assume and then soft water and humin ...

Re: Old Eheim Thermofilters...
Thanks to all, these were largely second hand filters so they were a bargain but I expect more from Eheim, and there is no excuse there are countless cheap options for filters out there if you buy a premium production it unreasonable to expect back up? As it is I have heaters to spare, but I do love ...

Re: Old Eheim Thermofilters...
The filter heads are fine, motors working and impellers are replaced.
The problem is the heating unit at the base of the filter body, they are controlled by an external thermostat unit with a probe, these new units are fine with heaters with a series number starting with 4 but units lower than 4 are ...

Old Eheim Thermofilters...
I run my fish room on mostly Eheim filters and heaters. Recently I have been servicing old filters and trying to get dud ones working, I have a bunch of old thermofilters, three professional 1 and a professional 2, I would love to get the heating capability working, so I bought new controllers ...

Re: De-worming Corydoras and Loricaria
Hallo for what it is worth, I just recieved 6 Loricaria sp. Rio Atabapo last week, I treat all my new arrivals with Microbelift Artimiss and Microbelift Herbtana.
Personally I prefer to use something more natural unless I see an actual problem that needs a stronger approach.
The ones that came to ...

Re: Ancistrus katebeckinsalei
Thank you for that, it doesn't seem to match any of those, the size for one thing is small 70-75mm,
I have had it for at least eight years and there hasn't been much increase in size so it would appear to be fully grown?
I will try to get some better pictures today....

Re: Ancistrus katebeckinsalei
Hallo thank you for the reply, sorry no information on the collection site, that would be total length, and it seems to prefer herbivorous food, although some brine shrimp granuals are taken.
Very shy and hard to get a good photo of, it is in a heavily planted tank...

Of course, I have watched your video, one of the very few pieces of information I could find on them. You haven't by any chance kept them?

Green Darter tetra -Ammocryptocharax elegans
I am interested in getting some of these fish, but finding any information on them is not easy, has anyone on the site kept them.
Darter's are not complicated in general but this particular spieces?
I'd be greatful for any advice.
