Thanks Mats,
80% water was transfered and the rest was topped up with fresh. So will be almost identical.
Only think I can think is that the sand when replaced will have disturbed and may have released unhelpful debris?
Not sure if it's fungus or bacteria - just that it's cotton wool like.
Thanks.

Cotton wool fungus
Hi,
I have an L163 catfish.
He's just developed some cotton wool like fungus on the back of his head after moving house.
What's the best treatment for this?
Methylene Blue? Anti-fungus or something different?
Thanks,
Jay

Hi,
I've seen a few entries on this site and some other web pages. Although, none really go into any great detail. Does anyone else have an L163 (Big Spot Peckoltia)??? If so, can they tell me anything more about it? What conditions it favours, compatability with other fish, what food it eats , how ...

The scenery on land there is incredible - take it all in as you come in to land in tahiti!!!
The lagoons have some reef sharks and manta rays if you can get a look at these huge rays take pictures.
If you get a day looking around Papeete when you land then do it - see how the locals live there.

Hi,
I have looked through the thumbnails and sp(4) was about the closest to it. Although none appeared to have the orangey tips on the fins, nor did they have the black spots. I have a picture but it's not the best..... I could show you but don't have any internet sites to put it on, sorry. Could I ...

Ancistrus
Hi,
Can anyone tell me what Ancistrus I may have.
I don't have any pics. as yet.
The fish is about 3" long and has a pinkish/yellow colour with black eyes. It has regular black spots along it's body and a yellow/orange tinge at the end of it's fins.
It so far hides, sucking upside down on some wood ...
