First of all, it's iodide, not iodine. The difference is that iodide is very weakly toxic, while iodine is very toxic.

Secondly, no it wont hurt your plecs, but you should be aware that it's not necessary to add iodide for freshwater crustaceans, at least not shrimp. Mainly it's heavily armored ...

I tried finding some pictures of this fish and each time I find one the fish has a different color...
what color is this fush? sometimes I see the blue version which is amazing and then the brown which I dont like, could someone explain what is going on with this plec?

I will soon build my 340 almost all pleco tank...
I wanted to keep with my plecos some taiwan and cristal red shrimp... but i'm afraid that the plcs will eat them or the baby shrimp....

I would like to add to my heavily planted nano tank(90L) a group of 6 Glass Catfish...

the problem is that the tank is also with alot of tiger and cherry shrimps....
I'm afraid the Glass Catfish will it the baby shrimps... what do you think?
