Well I was told by the LFS that the male will get 'sad' when the eggs are eaten, but Iâ??m not to shore on that. It could take anywhere up to a few weeks before they breed again but if you are lucky they could breed tonight. All depends on the condition of your water/tank, but as they have breed ...

well bad news, half the eggs are gone so I pulled them away, I found the common BN eating them, so I put the eggs in a net that is under the water, their is allot of water flow because it is near a air stone and near the spray bar. Sadly the eggs where exposed to the air for about 3 seconds, but we ...

yes the eggs are bright yellow, I dont think they will survive for the angel fish will eat them, but their are a few good places for them to hide. After this spawn im moving the BN (both common and albino) into a 75 liter tank.

Zeb, are you sure it's the albinos that have bred? It's HIGHLY unlikely that they're mature at 4cm (they're probably only 6months old). That's also a LOT of eggs for a 4cm fish. Who's fanning the eggs? You say the common has his eyes on them, is it possible they belong to him?

its the Albino male ...

YES
I first spawn, my Albino BN only less than 4 cm have breed! I don't know if the eggs will make it for I have a huge common BN with his eyes on them, I just noticed when I was vacuum under the bog wood. I'm so excited, their is about 20-30 eggs! :!:

The tank

I remember seeing a link, and it was to tanks that people have made using a bit of imagination. It had one tank where their where layers, with caves built into them, then sand was on top. This was a really bad explanation but I cannot think of it clearly enough.

Panaque's are poo machine so you will need superior filtration. I suggest one of the new models of fluval and if money isn't a problem id get 2 fluval 405. You will have a good amount of current, but you will need to keep up water changes.
