After many years Callichthys callichthys returned on a wholesalers list so I ordered some for they would make a nice asset to my large tank. Now let's hope they won't be Lepthoplosternum pectorale, as happened some years ago.

They are fairly tasty but not alot of meat.

I know :D I have a friend from Trinidad and he cooked us some for dinner a few years ago.

And what I feared has happened: they are Lepthoplosternum pectorale.... That's a bummer. I didn't buy them. Been fooled once and way too small to eat :wink:
