Corydoras melanistius

This fish was sold as Corydoras melanistius, but I donÂ´t think so. The fish is wildcought and I think they come from Colombia. Can anybody help with ID

I'm not any expert on Corydoras but I can give you my guess, C. delphax.

The pic is not the best to see it, but, if the dorsal spine is cream-white, it will probably be Corydoras schwartzi... n.o. this species if from river Purus...

I believe this little cory cat to be

As C delphax has a more snoutier head & C melanistius does not have caudal fin markings.

(For those who don't know a synonym of Corydoras brevirostris is Corydoras melanistius brevirostris)

Medaka has it right. Hard to even see how it could be confused with C. delphax or C. schwartzi.

Yes, thats the one, the reason that I didnÂ´t find it in first place was that my dealer told me that the fish came from Colombia.
