Urgent help needed please!

Post by imsati »

Hello eve3ryone. I wish my first post was about something happier, but unfortunately...

I've two moderate-sized Tiger Shovelnose that are on the verge of death. If possible, I'd like to mercy kill them rather than have them suffer. I've search the web and can't find any information on this.

Does anyone know how I can do it very quickly and painlessly for them? It's tearing me apart inside watching them writhe and convulse.

thanks

On a Dutch forum a vet in school posted a lengthy article about killing fishes painlessly.

The fridge is amongst the worst solutions, contrarily to popular beliefs.

Good solutions: a blow on the head, a knife (well placed, behind the gills) and poisening with clove oil, - benzocain or 2-phenoxy-ethanol

As I dio have good kitchenknives, and no such tchemicals, I use the knive. However, I'm glad it seldomly happens
