Synodontis breeding

Post by Oliv »

Hello

I am a biologist working on evolutionary biology and especially on parasitism (University College of London). My current interest is about evolution of breeding traits within the Synodontis genus. I need data about egg size (ie egg diameter) of some Synodontis species and especially S. multipunctatus. If you have such data and want to help this study, please let me know (even if you just want to indicate bibliographic reference). Ideally, the data should include the mean egg diameter of some eggs or the individual measure of some eggs. The size and the origin (eg wild caught) of the female who lay the eggs are also needed. Please note that the measure must be finest. If you cannot measure the eggs (it is very small), you can send me an electronic photo with something providing a scale as a piece of money.

Data from S. petricola and S. nigriventris are also welcome.

Thank for your help
