Help with Catfish logistics

Post by grokefish »

Here is a picture of my living room.

It's having a refurb.
My big tank is having a refurb too.
It has been inspired by the flooded forrest series which I had for Christmas (thanks AquaKat)
Anyway the point of this post is that my catfish collection has got out of control.
I Currently have in captivity:
3 Liosomadoras morrowi (false jaguars)
5 Liosomadoras oncincus (real jaguars)
2 Agamyxis pectinifrons (spotted doras)
2 Platydoras costatus (striped doras)
15 microglanis (south american bumblebee)
2 Corydoras Zygatus
2 pekoltia vitatus
3 Baryancistrus (magnum plecs)
1 Pterygoplichthys serratus
1 Pterygoplichthy Gibiceps
1 Pseudorinelepis sp. `rio_callaru`
1 Ancistrini sp. (L350)(peruvian Lyretail)
1 Panaque nigolineatus (royal panaque)
3 Sorubim lima (shovel nose)
2 Oxydoras niger (black dorad)
2 Megalodoras uranoscopus
1 Trachycorystes trachycorystes
and probably a few wood cats and dorids that I have forgotten about because I never see them.
Believe it or not I have recently just cut this collection down by rehomeing some.

You cruel man I hear you cry!
Well no actually, all the big fish are currently juvinile (megladoras, niger, shovel noses panaque) and futre plans are to put in a new tank that is 12' long 4' wide and 2' high (which will happen) to cover the tiled area (but don't tell the future wife), and are dotted about a number of tanks.
Which is my point. When I get the bigger tank I want to cut down on the number of tanks that I have, keeping only four tanks:
12'x4'x2'
6.5'x3'x2'
5'x20"x2'
2'x2'x2'
and I need to sort this collection out acording to compatability please help.
I want to keep all the big fish in the biggest tank but seeing as some are predatory and the other half wants to keep big shoals of tetras in the living room this causes problems.
One more bucket of water and the farce is complete.
